Receive a grant that subsidizes the cost of customized AI training for your teams. When an organization adopts new AI tools in artificial intelligence, it needs to develop internal skills accordingly. Scale AI provides grants that subsidize the costs for select organizations to train their teams via customized digital intelligence programs. Take advantage of financial resources to develop digital intelligence skills with funding that covers up to 85% of the first $100,000 of customized training in the domain.

Eligibility and Requirements

Customized training for businesses

Scale AI offers financing to companies that develop digital intelligence training programs with business, technical and scientific components, in partnership with a training organization.

The refund for selected programs is 85% of eligible expenses for the first $100,000 of the grant and 85% for the balance.

Is my business eligible?

To be eligible for financing, your business must meet the following criteria:

● train employees who work in Canada

● develop a digital intelligence training program with a training organization

● Have a Quebec business number (NEQ) (required for those businesses operating in Quebec)

AND must not be:

● a department or agency of the municipal, provincial or federal government,

● a political party or association

● a company whose operations have been interrupted due to a labour dispute (strike or lockout)

● a company that has not fully repaid a debt previously incurred debt with the government unless it complies with a written repayment agreement.

How and when to request funding

Once you have developed a program that meets your needs in collaboration with the training organization of your choice, please complete the online form.

There is no deadline for submitting applications.

Upon receipt, your file will be evaluated by Scale AI’s Talents Committee and you will receive a response within approximately four weeks.

Which costs are eligible?

The following costs are eligible:

● facilitation of the training course

● content development and updates to customize training for your company or target audience 2

● integration of learning (as per the program)

● supplies and materials provided to participants (e.g. binders, notebooks, etc.)

● reproduction of instructional materials (e.g. exercises, articles, case studies, etc.)

● copyright royalties for content presented (e.g. university case studies)

● travel, accommodation and meal costs for trainers.

How to receive funding Once the training course has been completed, you must provide various supporting documents, including:

● the final service offer, including the training plan that was delivered

● a list of training participants, including the workplace address of each individual

● the invoice for the training, including details of eligible expenses

● the total amount of the reimbursement requested
