The Save on Energy - Training and Support Incentive

Making sure your business reaches its full energy efficiency potential requires a true team effort. Even after you make upgrades, having well-trained employees is crucial to powering your business forward. By taking part in energy management training, your employees can gain the right skills to find energy saving opportunities, implement new solutions within your organization and develop their careers. There are several different training programs to choose from. Each Initiative has specific criteria for eligibility. Please ensure that all requirements for each Initiative selected have been read and that each Participant meets the requirements. Training and Support Incentives cover course, exam and/or certification fees only, and exclude taxes. For certainty, if any portion of the Initiatives fees is covered by other incentives, such amounts will not eligible for reimbursement and will be excluded from the Save on Energy Incentive calculation. All dollar amounts are in Canadian dollars. Save on Energy offers incentives of up to 50% on valuable training programs that can help build your employees' energy expertise

This course is for organizations undertaking decarbonization activities to meet their greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals and comply with emissions regulations. It focuses on the strategies and measures organizations need to achieve net-zero emissions in their buildings.

This course provides you with the skills you need to undertake energy modelling projects and achieve compliance with the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings (NECB) using eQUEST or CAN-QUEST software.

As buildings and building systems become more complex, the need for building commissioning becomes more important. Certified Building Commissioning Professionals possess the knowledge and skills to ensure optimal building performance and reduce operating and maintenance costs.

A detailed energy audit is the first step in understanding how a facility is using energy. Large commercial and industrial buildings can benefit from having a certified energy auditor assess facility systems, analyze and evaluate equipment and energy usage, and recommend strategies to reduce consumption and associated costs.

Energy managers create and implement energy management plans for a wide range of customers and facilities. Large commercial and institutional buildings benefit from having a certified energy manager provide strategies to reduce their carbon emissions and energy usage – directly contributing to improving the organization’s bottom line.
