The eligibility criteria for this grant primarily concern the types of businesses and specific regions.

For-profit businesses legally constituted Social economy enterprises whose financial viability is based more than 40% on autonomous income from their economic activities of the last financial year Businesses must be registered in Quebec and actively conduct business activities there. Foreign companies must be registered in Quebec and commit to conducting regular business operations there no later than twelve months after project approval.


Who is eligible

Legally constituted for-profit businesses and social economy enterprises that meet the specific criteria can benefit from this grant.

Foreign businesses registered in Quebec that commit to conducting continuous or regular business operations there no later than twelve months after project approval.


Who is not eligible

Yes, certain types of companies are not eligible for this grant. Here is a list of companies that are not eligible:

Businesses listed, provisionally or permanently, on the Register of companies ineligible for public contracts (RENA) Businesses listed on the list of non-compliant businesses with the francization process Businesses that have failed to meet their obligations after a formal notice related to previous financial assistance State-owned enterprises or companies directly or indirectly controlled by a government Businesses under the protection of the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act or the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act Holding companies Businesses with inappropriate ethical behavior Businesses whose main activities are related to the production or distribution of weapons Businesses involved in the exploration, extraction, drilling, production, and refining of fossil fuels Businesses involved in the operation of games of chance and gambling Businesses involved in the production and distribution of violent games or combat sports Businesses involved in sexual exploitation Businesses involved in the production, sale, and services related to the consumption of tobacco or drugs, except for cannabis and industrial hemp.

Eligible expenses for this grant include:

Professional fees (external consulting firms) Travel and accommodation expenses related to project implementation Costs related to the purchase of specialized, relevant, and necessary information for the project

Côte-Nord Gaspésie−Îles-de-la-Madeleine Bas-Saint-Laurent Capitale-Nationale (MRC of Charlevoix, Charlevoix-Est, and Portneuf)
