Work involving a complete dismantling of the fossil fuel central heating system (furnace or boiler) and the removal of the tank (oil or propane) may be eligible for financial assistance from the Chauffez vert program.

Eligibility and Requirements
Conditions
- The work must involve installing new equipment for a heating system powered by electricity or a combination of renewable energies.
- The new equipment must meet the energy needs that were covered by the dismantled system(s).
- The system must be a source of heat for the home before the replacement work begins.
- In the case of a building with multiple units, the system must be a source of heat for at least one unit.
- Important - The dismantling and installation work must be carried out by one or more qualified contractors who hold appropriate RBQ licences.
