Eligibility and Requirements

Company Requirements

• Registered Canadian business or organization
• Not a federal or provincial government group or a large financial sector employer
• Have the financial capacity to hire a student for a part of full time work term, pay them consistently and provide a meaningful work experience
• An eligible employer must be willing to employ a student in a tech-immersive role
• Tech and non-tech focused organizations are encouraged to apply

Role Requirement

• Support any tech-immersive roles across many different disciplines and functions, and you don’t need to be a tech company to promote tech skills development
• Preference will be given to tech immersive roles that are within high-growth sectors:
• Digital technology (IT, digital marketing, software engineering, etc.)
• AI / IoT / Machine Learning / Advanced Manufacturing
• Cybersecurity
• Agri-Tech
• Clean Tech
• Health Tech

• Historical information on the amount of students that have been employed by your company or department in recent years
